Leggett sentence on nine separate charges

Christopher John Leggett, 34, of North Adelaide Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court after pleading guilty to nine separate charges.

Leggett was sentenced to a two-month conditional sentence after pleading guilty to stealing a nail gun from Kent Building Supplies, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

The incident occurred May 8, 2017 in Amherst.

He was also sentenced to a two-month sentence conditional sentence, concurrent, after pleading guilty to having in his possession property obtained by theft, the value of which did not exceed $5,000. The incident occurred May 11, 2017, in Amherst.

Leggett was also sentenced to a two-month conditional sentence, concurrent, after pleading guilty to two counts of theft under $5,000; stealing a dual pack of DVD players, the property of The Source, and stealing a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka, the property of the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission

The DVD incident occurred July 2, 2017, in Amherst, and the bottle of liquor incident occurred July 18, 2017, in Amherst.

He was also sentenced to a one-month conditional sentence, concurrent, after pleading guilty to break and entering the Salvation Army with the intent to commit an indictable offense therein.

The incident occurred Oct. 18, 2017, in Amherst.

Leggett was also sentenced to a six-month conditional sentence, concurrent, after pleading guilty to stealing a Community Credit Union debit card from another person.

The incident occurred Nov. 7, 2017 in Amherst.

He was also sentenced to a two-month conditional sentence, concurrent, after pleading guilty to failing to attend court as directed.

Saunders sentences for impaired driving

George Robert Saunders, 34, of Haliburton Street, Amherst, was sentenced to a $1,300 fine, along with a one-year driving prohibition, after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

The incident occurred July 29, 2018, in West Amherst.

Langille sentenced for failing breathalyzer

Robert Langille, 52, of Lower Wentworth, was sentenced to a $1,820 fine, along with a one-year-driving prohibition, after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle after having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration of alcohol in his blood exceeded .08 per cent.

The incident occurred July 10, 2018, in Wallace Bay.

Parsons sentenced for failing to comply with curfew

Donald Percy Alan Parsons, 28, of Victoria Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court after pleading guilty to two charges.

Parsons was sentenced for failing to comply with a curfew without lawful excuse by failing to answer his door.

The incident occurred Dec. 9, 2016, in Amherst.

He was also sentenced to failing to failing to comply with a condition to abide by a daily curfew at his residence.

The incident occurred Nov. 18, 2017, in Amherst.

He was also issued a $100 victim fine surcharge on each count.
