Farrow found guilty of impaired driving

Richard Leroy Farrow, 74, of Highway 366, East Amherst, was found guilty in abstentia to charges of impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The incidents occurred July 29, 2017 in Amherst.

Fink gets 90 days for possessing stolen property

Michael Todd Finck, 30, of York Street, Amherst, was sentenced to 90 days intermittent custody for possession of stolen property of a value under $5,000, including collector cards, coins, games and other items.

He received another 90-day sentence, to be served concurrently, for unlawfully carrying a concealed firearm – a pellet pistol.

Finck will be on probation with reporting and conditions when not in jail and was ordered to pay a $200 victim surcharge on both counts.

Three other charges were dismissed.

The incidents occurred Nov. 20, 2017 in Amherst.

Jewkes to be sentenced Aug. 20 for failure to comply

Travis James Lee Jewkes, 33, of Victoria Street, Springhill, was ordered to return for sentencing on Aug. 20 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading guilty to failing to comply with an undertaking to abstain from direct or indirect contact with the victim.

A pre-sentence report was requested.

Jewkes is also remanded in until Aug. 20 for six other charges including two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, one count of failing to comply with an undertaking and single counts of theft and assault.

The incidents allegedly occurred between May 2 and May 21, 2018 in Amherst.

While facing trail for threats, assault

Cody Robert White, 25, of West Pleasant Street, Amherst will return to court on Sept. 19 for a trial after pleading not guilty to uttering a threat to cause bodily harm, two counts of assault and single counts of unlawful confinement and choking someone with the intent to commit indictable assault.

The incidents allegedly occurred June 22, 2018 in Amherst.

White will remain in custody until Sept. 19 when he appears for election and plea and a bail hearing into two charges of assault and one charge of committing mischief.

The incidents allegedly occurred between Dec. 26, 2016 and Jan. 24, 2018 in Amherst.
