Leblanc sentenced to eight-months jail
Dennis Wesley Leblanc. 34, of Petit Cap, N.B., was sentenced to eight months custody after pleading guilty to a charge of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable crime, mischief, resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer, breaching a court order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, assault, breaching an undertaking to abstain from alcohol and intoxicating substances, and breaching a recognizance to not be in the province of Nova Scotia without lawful excuse.
Leblanc was also ordered to pay $2,163 in restitution.
The incidents occurred Sept. 15, 2017, in Amherst.
St. Peter handed probation
Zachary St. Peter, 19, of Hillside Drive, Maccan, was sentenced to 12-months probation after breaching a recognizance to comply with house arrest.
