AMHERST, N.S. —

Highland African Methodist Episcopal Church in Amherst is hosting an afternoon of Christian fellowship at its May 26 gospel celebration from 2 to 4 p.m.

“We are desirous of meeting those of like precious faith and of course those that know not our Lord Jesus Christ at this time. We are an all-inclusive mixed-race Christian fellowship and have many likeminded friends in the local area,” Rev. Lawrence Hartley said.

Hartley is urging people to attend and meet himself and the congregation and know that the church cares for you, whoever you are and in whatever circumstances you find yourself in.

William Shannon from Riverview, Robert Thibodeau from Moncton and Bruce Gibson and friends from Amherst will provide gospel music.
