AMHERST, N.S. – The 2018 Cram-A-Cruiser campaign has helped put food on tables and coats on backs for another year.
Cram-A-Cruiser collected a truck load of food and a truck load of coats during its 2018 campaign.
The food was delivered to the Amherst Food Bank and the coats to the Empowering Beyond Barriers Coats for Cumberland campaign.
Const. Tom Wood of the Amherst Police Department thanked everybody who made donations.
“Thank you again for supporting our local food bank and the Empowering Beyond Barriers Coats for Cumberland campaign,” said Wood.
The cruiser was crammed at several locations on Nov. 8 and 9, including West Highlands Elementary School, Spring Street Academy Elementary School, Cumberland North Academy Elementary School, E.B. Chandler Junior High School, Sobeys, Walmart, and the Springhill Foodland.
