AMHERST, N.S – Two people pleaded guilty to charges in Amherst Provincial Court on Feb. 11.
Gouchie sentenced to two years for trafficking
Derrick John Gouchie, 29, of Patterson Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court on Monday to two years custody and a 10-year firearms prohibition after pleading guilty to two charges; trafficking methamphetamine and trafficking cocaine.
He was sentenced to two years, concurrent with each other, on each conviction.
He was also sentenced to four-months custody, concurrent with other sentences, after pleading guilty to trafficking Marijuana.
The incidents occurred between July 1, 2018, and Aug. 1, 2018.
Ouellette sentence for driving while impaired
Bruce William Ouellette, 58, of Edmonton, AB, was sentenced in court on Monday to a $1,000 fine and a one-year driving prohibition after he was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while the concentration of alcohol in his blood exceeded .08 per cent.
The incident occurred Aug. 7, 2016 in Tyndal Road.
