Fink incarcerated for sexual assault
Matthew James Fink, 35, of Shinimicas, was sentenced to two years custody, handed a 10-year firearms prohibitions, ordered to provide a DNA sample to authorities, fined $200 and will be registered according to the Sexual Offenders Information Registration Act for a period of 20 years after pleading guilty to sexual assault.
The incident occurred between Nov. 1, 2016, and Nov. 20, 2016, in Amherst.
Fink was also handed 540 days custody, less 330 days for time served credited at time-and-a-half, and a further 150 days consecutive custody followed by two years probation, after pleading guilty to charges of sexual assault and assault between Deb. 1, 2016, and Feb. 28, 2016, in Amherst.
Shepherd pleas guilty to stealing dog
Allen Shepherd, 43, of Highway 209, Advocate Harbour, was handed two years probation and fined $1,950 after pleading guilty to stealing a dog, mischief and obstruction of justice.
The incidents occurred Dec 11, 2016, in New Salem.
Hollis sentencing in January
David Christopher Hollis, 34, of Amherst, will return to court Jan. 15, 2018, for sentencing, after pleading guilty to assault.
The incident occurred between Dec. 1, 2016, and Oct. 4, 2017, in Tidnish.
