To be presented to Fredericton Police

AMHERST – The Amherst Police Department would like to invite the public to share their thoughts in a book of condolences for the families, friends & colleagues of 2 fallen Fredericton Officers.

The two officers, 45-year-old Lawrence ‘Robb’ Costello and 43-year-old Sara Burns were killed tragically in the line of duty on Friday, Aug.

Const. Costello was a 20-year veteran of the Fredericton police force and leaves behind his partner and four children.

Const. Burns had been on the Fredericton police force for two years and leaves behind her husband and three children.

The incident also resulted in the deaths of 42-year-old Donald Robichaud and 32-year-old Bobbie Lee Wright.

The Fredericton Police and community have witnessed an outpouring of support from across the country as they struggle to deal with this tremendous loss.

The Book of Condolences, supplied by Campbell’s Funeral Home, was made available to the public on Monday, Aug. 13 and will placed in lobby of the Amherst Police Department Foyer until Friday, Aug. 17 at 4 p.m.

A regimental funeral is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 18 at 1p.m in Fredericton at which time the book shall be given to the Fredericton Police.
