SYDNEY, N.S. — Cape Breton comedy duo Tracy and Martina will host Black Friday Comedy Night when it comes to Centre 200 on Nov. 29.
The local favourites have been entertaining together since 2014 and are well-known for parodying local culture and tradition. They are digital creators for CBC Comedy and have worked as writers for “This Hour Has 22 Minutes.”
The show will also feature Canadian comedians Cathy Jones, Mark Forward and Travis Lindsay.
Jones is a co-founder of the award-winning comedy troupe Codco and an original cast member of "This Hour Has 22 Minutes." She has won the ACTRA Award of Excellence in 2013, as well as an incredible 18 Gemini awards for her work as a writer and performer. She was honoured with the Canadian Screen Icon Award in 2016.
Forward has been seen on John Oliver’s "New York Stand-Up Show" (Comedy Central), "The Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (CBS), "Funny As Hell" (HBO), and "Just For Laughs: All Access" (Comedy Network). His work also includes the role of Coach on the Crave TV/Comedy Network series "Letterkenny."
Lindsay is a prolific writer in East Coast comedy and has been captivating audiences since the age of 16. In 2016, he was named best Nova Scotia comedian on "James Mullinger’s Comedy Boot Camp." He’s a three-time semi-finalist on Sirius XM’s "Top Comic" and has appeared on Sirius XM Radio and CBC Radio. In 2019, he released his debut album,“The Kid is Alright.”
