Boom, just like that May is over. Temperatures are heating up outside, mowing has begun and traffic is picking up in our parks and trails.  If you feel like getting out for a walk and enjoying some fresh air, check out one of the community’s walking tracks. The Dickey Park walking track is lit at night with washroom facilities available. Just 1.5 times around the track equals 1 kilometre.

The splash pad is scheduled to open in June. The Rotary Park walking track offers outdoor fitness equipment spread around the track for use at your leisure with 2.5 laps equals 1 kilometre. Washroom facilities are open daily. New last year, the Lion’s Park track loops the beautiful new Tennis courts. A washroom facility is to be constructed in the fall as part of the 5 year development plan of the park. Future plans include a splash pad, basketball courts and a standing shelter. Visit and social media outlets for the Amherst Stadium indoor walking track spring hours as well as park washroom facility hours.  For maintenance issues, please email
