The Community Christmas Dinner, put on by the Shore Drive Community Development Association, was well received by a full house recently.
Thanks go out to David Beattie from the Black Rock Bistro, who did an excellent job. David told the Association that he wanted to do something for the community.
The food was delicious.
Meana and Dante Oliviera worked hard to help serve and clean up. Jimmy Benjamin did all the dish washing, which was an incredible amount of work.
Thanks also to Sharon Benjamin and Barb Aris for all the organization and planning that insures a successful event.
By the time this news is published our annual bus shopping trip and The Living Christmas Tree performance will have taken place. These are two of my favourite pre-Christmas activities. If you enjoy Christmas music, Dave and Friends will be entertaining at the Diligent River hall on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. Our community is beginning to look very festive with residents decorating their homes for Christmas. The Foxy Lady is out of news for now. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a healthy and Happy new Year. Have a great week everyone.
