Shelter Tales with Barnaby

Hey y'all old Barnaby is back with all the news from our own Lillian Allbon Cumberland County Animal Shelter on Smith Road.

Congrats to kittens Luna, Petey, and Macey and cat Miss Kitty as they all went off with their forever families. And happy tails to dog Ranger as he is now being loved in an awesome new home.

Our Pets of the Week are senior cats Turbo and Razzle Dazzle. These two t10-year-old spayed female siblings are waiting for a new home. They don't have to be adopted together but they are both deserving of spending the second part of their lives in a loving home. Both cats are healthy and beautiful. One or both would make perfect companions for a senior, or a single individual that would love a low maintenance pet or pets!

We are currently looking for foster homes for two of our shy cats. Anna is a lovely one year old spayed female. She keeps to herself and would enjoy a home where she can gain confidence and come out of her shell. We also need a home for Momma Cat.

Momma came in with her kittens and now that they are big enough, it's time to focus on Momma and find her a spot where she can trust humans and realize no one is going to hurt her. Momma is a very frightened cat but she has made progress and a home would do wonders!

Remember when you foster from us we pay all the veterinary and food costs, we have litter boxes here as well and can lend you a cat carrier to use. For more information on Anna or Momma Cat please call our manager Tanya at 902-661-PAWS. We are open every day of the week to the public from 1 to 4 p.m.

Thank you to the gang from Eddy Group as they had a staff barbecue and a 50/50 and raised $141 for the shelter.

That's all for now, until next time keep your tail in the air and your heart open wide and don't forget us here at the LA Animal Shelter. We are the little shelter with the big heart.
