GREENWOOD – Ryan Rideout scored what proved to be the winner as the Cumberland County Ramblers defeated Bedford 3-2 to capture the championship at the 14 Wing Aviation Challenge Bantam C Tournament on Sunday in Greenwood.
Brady Gill and Nick Rideout also scored for Cumberland County in the championship game with Nick Rideout and Ryan Rideout each adding assists.
Hayden Kingston-Ross and Aidan LeBlanc scored for Bedford.
Cumberland County opened with a 3-0 win over West Hants with Ryan Rideout, Nick Reidwout and Brady Gill scoring and Ryan Smith adding two assists and Brady Gill a single assist.
Against Acadia, Nick Rideout had six goals and two assists in a 13-3 win. Brady Gill had three goals and an assist and Ryan Smith had two goals and Thane McAloney and Ryan Rideout each had single goals.
Cameron Hardie, Ryan Rideout, Brayden Stevens and Fiona Morris each had assists.
In their final round robin game, Nick Rideout, Chloe LeBlanc and Ryan Smith each had two goals in a 7-1 win over host Greenwood. Ryan Rideout also scored once and added two assists.
Brady Gill, Brayden Stevens, Thane McAloney, Cameron Hardie, Fiona Morris and Nate Campbell each added assists in the game.
