AMHERST, N.S. – The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Rambler beat the Summerside Western Capitals 4-3 during Maritime Hockey League preseason action Saturday night at Amherst Stadium.

The Ramblers were up 4-1 heading into the third period, but Summerside fought back in the third, scoring two goals, making it a close game.

Goal Scorers

Cole Waugh scored one goal and one assist for the Ramblers, and Stephen Fox, Hunter McIntyre, and Will Lafford scored one goal each.

Caleb Rich added two assists for the Ramblers, and Jacob Myra, and Linden Namagoose had one assist each.

Goaltending

Matt Williams played in net for the Ramblers, stopping 26 of the 29 shots he faced, while Daniel Thompson faced 29 shots in net for the Capitals.

The Ramblers were 0 for 6 on the power play, while the Capitals had two goals on seven power play chances.

Game Attendance

Game attendance was 475.

Saturday’s game was the final preseason game for the Ramblers.
