AMHERST – Five members of the Spartans Swim Club have been selected to swim for Team Nova Scotia at a competition in Maine this weekend.
“We’ve been calling them ‘The Maine Five,’” said coach Jan Matthews with a laugh. “It’s a great opportunity for them to extend their swimming and make connections within the provincial swimming community.”
Each swimmer will be competing in six individual events during the two-day 2018 Junior Olympics Trials competition hosted by the Long Reach Swim Club of Bath, Maine.
The Spartans attending the competition are Olivia Bacon, Ella McGuigan, Lauren Millard, Jordan Beaton and Adam Bobadilla-Amaran.
