SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – The Queens County Cougars scored with less than a minute to go to defeat the Cumberland County Ramblers 1-0 in the midget semifinal at a hockey tournament in Summerside last Sunday.

In the quarter-final, Jackson Colborne’s shootout goal was the winner as the Ramblers edged the Kings County Wild 2-2.

Jordan Harrison and Tanner Bowen scored in regulation for Cumberland County with Alex Goodwin adding assists.

Cumberland County opened the three-day tournament on Feb. 9 with a 5-1 win over TASA with Zach Gould scoring three times and Josh Black and Tanner Bowen each scoring once.

Mackenzie Comeau had two assists and Cal Hoeg, Jackson Colborne, Cole Lefler and Aaron Sjanic added assists.

Kyle Walker, Mackenzie Comeau, Riley MacKenzie and Jordan Harrison each scored single goals as the Ramblers defeated the Hampton Bulldogs on Feb. 10 with Aaron Sjanic, Cole Lefler, Tanner Bowen and Nolan Kelba each adding assists.

In their third round robin game the Ramblers got two goals and an assist from Mackenzie Comeau and Jordan Harrison also scored in a 3-1 win over the Eastern Shore Mariners.

Alex Goodwin and Zack Gould added assists.

Zach Boudreau picked up two player of the game awards during the tournament while Jackson Colborne, Zach Gould and Greg Ripley also were named players of the game.
