J&K scores last minute goal to edge Bluewave


AMHERST – J&K Electric’s scored with 57 seconds left in the game to beat Bluewave Energy 3-2 during Amherst Adult Hockey League action Tuesday night at Amherst Stadium.

Chuck Chandler led J&K with two goals, Kurtis Langille scored one goal, Mike Gould had two assists, and Craig Harrison, Rob Scott and Ryan Smith had one helper each in the win.

Marshall MacDonald scored both Bluewave goals, and Matt Beal and Joel Stone had one assist each.

Justin Brown got the win in goal, facing 15 shots, and Remi Thomas got the loss. He faced 27 shots.

Colson Overhead Doors vs. J&K Electric

On Sunday night in Amherst Colson Overhead Doors and J&K battled to a 6-6 tie at Amherst Stadium.

Scott had two assists for J&K, Smith one goal and two assists, and Chandler one goal and one assists.

Harrison and Langille added one goal each, while Andy Bonnell had two helpers and Mark Bennett one.

Ryan Reynolds led Colson with three goals, Mark Black and Matt Colson scored one goal and two assists each, and Brad Linkletter added one goal and one assist. Bill Jobes had one assist.

Kristy Brown played in goal for Colson, Thomas for J&K.

Bluewave vs. Maltby Sports

Last Thursday, Maltby Sports edged Bluewave Energy 7-6 in Springhill.

Jordie Shaw and Chris Sproul scored two goals and one assist each for Maltby Sports, Scott Dicks and Jon Tattrie scored one goal and two assists each, and Chris Dwyer had one goal and one assist.

Dan Anger and Corey Robichaud had two helpers each, and Ian McCarty had one.

MacDonald had three goals for Bluewave, Stone had one goal and three assists, and Ray Hickey and Brian Meyers had one goal and two assists each. Beal, Brown, and Luke Crocker had one assist each.

J&K leads the AAHL with 17 points, Maltby has 11, Bluewave 10, and Colson 8.
