Gymnasts succeed at provincial championships

AMHERST – Members of the Aerials Gymnastics Club recently returned with ribbons and medals from the 2018 Nova Scotia Provincial Gymnastics Championships at the Titans Gymnastics and Trampoline Club in Dartmouth.

“Kirsten (Lawrence) and Emma (Sjanic) were consisted all the way across the board,” said Aerials coach Michelle Landry.

She says the younger team members did really good as well.

“The kids had many personal bests, and many tried new skills for the first time.”

Results from the provincials are as follows:

Reaghan Arsenault – 3rd on vault, 3rd on bars, 4th on beam, 3rd on floor and 3rd overall

Haley Angus – 6th on beam

Emma Sjanic – 4th on vault, 5th on beam, 4th overall

Imogen Quinn – 1st on beam

Jessica Landry – 2nd overall, 3rd on beam

Allyson Bryan – 5th on beam

Marissa LeBlanc – 6th on vault, 4th on beam, 4th on floor and 5th overall

Kyra Brennan – 6th on floor
