AMHERST – Aerials athletes were practicing Wednesday night in preparation for the Alta Meet at the Halifax Alta Gymnastics Club this weekend.

“The girls have been working hard, so I’d like to think they’re going to do well,” said Aerials coach Michelle Landry.

The Alta Meet is the second last meet before the provincial championships.

“We still have people trying to get qualifying scores for the Atlantics. They are improving their skills and I think they will do good.”

Next weekend the Aerials host their annual March Break Invitational at Amherst Regional High School.

“We still need a lot of volunteers on Thursday for tearing down and packing trucks, on Friday for taking everything out of the truck and setting up,” said Landry.

They also need volunteers during the meet.

“We still need people at the door and people at the canteen.”

Anybody interested in volunteering at the March Break Invitational can contact Landry at 902-669-0375 or can email [email protected].
