AMHERST, N.S. – The Junior high school soccer district championships were recently decided on the E.B. Chandler soccer pitch in Amherst.
Boys
The boys contest was decided in a shootout.
It came down to the final of five shooters, with E.B. Chandler winning the district title.
The shootout became necessary after a 2-2 tie during regulation.
Nolan Starratt scored both goals for E.B. Chandler, and Noah Harrison scored both goals for Springhill, including a goal in the dying minutes to tie the game 2-2.
Girls
Taylor Thompson scored four goals to lead the Oxford Regional Education Centre Golden Bears to a 4-0 win over the E.B. Chandler Cheetahs.
