With win over Bible Hill in junior boy's basketball final

AMHERST – The E.B. Chandler Cheetahs are NSSAF Division 1 regional basketball champions.

Luke Legere scored 19 points and Brody MacDonald added 16 points as the Cheetahs defeated Bible Hill Junior High 49-43 on Monday to capture the regional banner.

Brennan van Vulpen had seven points for the Chandler squad that was made up of Grade 7 and 8 students. The other junior programs had players in Grade 9, giving them a size advantage.

Ben Legere added five points, Declan LeBlanc had three points and Sam Harrison had one.

Max Ashton had 21 points for Bible Hill.

Earlier Monday, the E.B. Chandler squad notched a comeback 59-43 victory over Central Colchester Junior High with Brennan van Vulpen scoring 14 points and Luke Legere adding 11.

Broady MacDonald had nine points, Nolan Starratt had eight, Declan LeBlanc had six points and Ben Legere had five.

Sam Harrison with four and Wyatt MacDonald with four rounded out scoring for E.B. Chandler.

Noah Berniguer scored 20 for Central Colchester.
