AMHERST – The Cumberland County Amherst Toyota Ramblers are hosting seven other teams this weekend in the Mainland Peewee AA League championship tournament at the Amehrst Stadium and Oxford Arena.

The Ramblers finished first place during the regular season and enter the tournament as the top seed. The West Hants Warriors are the second seed, the Pictou County Crushers are third and the Yarmouth Mariners fourth.

Seeds five through eight include the Western Valley Spartans, the Antigonish Bulldogs, the Truro Bearcats and the Acadia Axemen.

Games begin at 11:15 a.m. with the host Ramblers playing Acadia in Amherst while West Hants plays Truro in Oxford.

The semifinals and finals are Sunday with the championship game at 3:45 p.m. at the Amherst Stadium.

Organizers want to thank the Town of Amherst for providing no fee ice for the tournament. As a result of the support, all teams saved $124.65 on registration fees.
