AMHERST – The 2017-2018 Amherst Adult Hockey League season kicked off last week with three games.
Bluewave vs. Maltby
On Thursday it was Bluewave Energy and Maltby Sports tying 7-7 in Springhill.
Goals
Maltby goals were scored by Scott Dicks, with two goals, and Aaron Dobson, Trevor Legere, Jordie Shaw, Chris Sproul and Jon Tattrie with one goal each.
Bluewave Energy’s goals were scored by Lucas Hurley and Brian Meyers with two each, and Luke Crocker, Brandon Davis, and Joel Stone with one goal each.
Assists
Mitch Roy and Tattrie led Maltby with three assists each, Shaw had two, and Dobson and Sproul had one assist each.
Crocker, Davis and Stone had two assists each for Bluewave, and Kyle Harvey, Hurley and Meyers had one assist each.
Goaltending
Alex Legere played in goal for Maltby and Justin Brown for Bluewave.
Colson vs. Bluewave
Colson Overhead Doors beat Bluewave Energy 5-3 last Tuesday at Amherst Stadium.
Goals
Matt Colson led the Doors with two goals, while Bill Jobes, Brad Linkletter and Darcy Snell scored one goal each.
Marshall MacDonald led the Wave with two goals, while Stone had one goal.
Assists
Phil Farrow score three assists for Bluewave, and Colson, Jobes, Tim Ripley and Danny Small had one assist each.
MacDonald had three assists for Bluewave, Stone scored two, and Crocker and Meyers had one assist each.
Goaltending
Kristy Brown got the win in net for Colson, Justin Brown the loss.
J&K Electric vs. Maltby
The season opened last Sunday in Amherst with J&K Electric beating Maltby Sports 15-1.
Goals
Ryan Smith scored five goals for J&K, Rob Scott three, Dave Atkinson two, and Andy Bonnell, Greg Brennan, Craig Harrison, Kurtis Langille, and Alex Matthews scored one goal each.
Sproul scored the lone Maltby Sports goal.
Assists
Mike Gould scored three assists for J&K, while Atkinson, Mark Bennett, Bonnell, an Allan MacEachern scored two each. Jordan Bennett, Brennan, Chuck Chandler, Alex Matthews, Scott and Smith scored one assist each.
Goaltending
Remi Thomas got the win in goal for J&K, Jarret Munn the loss or Maltby.
