Ramblers add right-side playmaker to roster

AMHERST – The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers made a trade Wednesday.

Amherst traded futures for 20-year-old forward Tayden Woods.

He’s excited to get things going just like we all are.

Jeff LeBlanc, Ramblers coach and general manager, said they have added a Jr. A playmaker for the right side.

 “Tayden is a right-shot winger with good vision and playmaking ability,” said LeBlanc. “Our contact in Alberta says he’s a quality person that works extremely hard and has good vision.”

Tayden played for Calgary Mustangs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League last year and will be at the Ramblers training camp when it opens on Aug. 27.

“When talking to Tayden you could feel the passion he has for the game,” said LeBlanc. “He’s excited to get things going just like we all are.”

Last season with Calgary, Tayden played in 57 games registering 31 points.
