AMHERST – Amherst Little League continued Wednesday night with wins for the Lions and the Casey Concrete Mixers.
Lions vs. Y’s Guys
The Lions beat the Y’s Guys 13-4.
Evan Legere and Ben MacDonald pitched three innings each for the Lions.
They both gave up two hits and two walks, with Legere striking out eight batters, and MacDonald one.
MacDonald and Brady Gill hit one triple each, and scored two runners each. Nolan McNally added a double, and Gregor Millard and Declan LeBlanc hit one single each.
Ryder Codling pitched six innings for the Y’s Guys.
He struck out three batters, and gave up 14 hits and walked five batters.
Jesse Goodwin hit a home run for the Y’s Guys, scoring two runners, Codling hit a double, and Cody Hill and Brayden Stevens hit one single each.
Mixers vs. Cubs
The Mixers beat the Carter’s Cresting Cubs 8-1.
Mandel Nickerson pitched four innings for the Mixers.
He struck out eight batters, walked two batters and gave up one hit.
Hayden Crocket pitched the final two innings for the Mixers. No statistics were available.
Nickerson hit a triple for the Mixers, Burke Beed hit three doubles, and Ethan Sheriff and Nate Arsenault hit one double and one single each.
Phoenix Remington and Thane McAloney pitched three innings each for the Cubs.
The both gave up four hits and three walks, with Remington striking out two batters, and McAloney four batters.
Amherst Little League Continues Monday night at 6:30 p.m.
