Novice Penguins win Atlantic Cup

members include: Caiden Parris, Taqran Barrett, Jaxon Harrison, Ethan Normore, Adrien Rioux, Nolan Gunn, Braxton Bickford, Austin Duguay, Connor MacDougall, Grace Fisher, Ethan Brundage, Rylan Cousins, Rowan Dobson, Colton Hachey, Ethan Totten, Michael Boudreau and Hunter Ripley. The team was coached by Jason Rhinas, Matt Lewis, Kirk Rioux and the manager was Curt Gunn.

AMHERST – The Amherst Novice Penguins went on to win the Atlantic Cup gold medal with a thrilling 4-0 victory over the P.E.I. Oilers.

Connor MacDougall scored twice for the Penguins in the win. Rylan Cousins and Jaxon Harrison each had a goal.
Jason Rhinas, the head coach of the team, said the kids went out and played a full 39 minutes of hockey. It was a great team effort and the kids deserved the win.
The team played for the gold medal in the Prospect Series the weekend before losing 4-3 to the Tracadie-Chaleur Nordiques 4 - 3.
