Five on Five with the Ramblers
AMHERST, N.S. – We asked five Ramblers players, separately, five questions before Wednesday night’s practice at Amherst Stadium.
Chad Bannister and the rest of the Ramblers battled to double overtime against the Weeks Crushers but lost when Dylan Riley scored at 16:11 into the second overtime.

NEW GLASGOW, N.S. – The Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers lost 5-4 in double overtime to the Pictou County Weeks Crushers Thursday night in New Glasgow.
With the loss the Crushers take a 1-0 lead in the best of seven semi-final playoff series.
Pictou County’s Michael Dill scored at 5:56 into the first, giving the Crushers a 1-0 lead.
Matt Cusson tied the game 1-1 with 2:30 left in the first off a pass from Grant Janes.
Pictou County’s Ethan Marsh put the Crushers up 2-1 just 13 seconds into the second.
Grant Janes tied the game 2-2 at 11:03 into the second off passes from Brock McEwen and Connor Vermuelen
Marsh scored his second of the night a little over a minute later, giving the Crushers a 3-2 lead.
Julian Makary tied the game 3-3 at 3:24 into the third with assists from Brandon Kosik and Jesse Dunn. The goal was scored on the power play.
Matt Sartoris gave the Ramblers the first lead of the night, putting his team up 4-3 off passes from Layton Parsons and Makary.
Pictou’s Bradley Kennedy tied the game 4-4 with 29 seconds left in the game.
Dylan Riley scored the winner at 16:11 into the second overtime frame.
Daryl MacCallum played in goal for the Ramblers, facing a total of 51 shots. He stopped 34 of the 38 shots he faced in regulation time.
MacCallum also faced five shots in the first overtime and eight in the second overtime.
Luke Melanson and Daniel Valtour shared duties in goal for the Crushers, facing a total of 36 shots. They stopped 22 of the 26 Ramblers shots in regulation time, and stopped three shots in the first overtime and seven in the second overtime.

Second Period – Ramblers penalized once
Third Period – Crushers penalized once
First Overtime – No penalties
Second Overtime – The Ramblers were penalized twice, once at 9:04 into the second overtime, and at 9:43 into the second overtime.
