Aerial athletes find success at Taiso meet

Travel to Moncton this weekend

Gymnasts at the Aerial Gymnastics Club came home from the Taiso competition in Lower Sackville last weekend with many ribbons and medals.

Their coach, Michelle Landry, said the girls did very well, especially on beam and bars.

“Also, their presentations were good. They all tried really hard, which was nice,” said Landry.

The girls compete in Moncton for the first time this weekend.

“We’ve competed with a few of the New Brunswick clubs here and there, so it should be interesting to see how things work out,” said Landry.

Taiso Results

Katelyn Girouard – 5th overall, 1st on beam, 4th on vault

Marlise Carter – 3rd on vault, 4th on beam

Allison Wright – 2nd on beam, 4th on vault, 5th on floor

Megan Sealy – 4th overall, 1st on beam, 2nd on bars, 6th on vault

Haley Angus – 5th on floor, 6th on bars

Jessica Landry – 2nd overall, 2nd on bars, 4th on beam and floor

Marissa LeBlanc – 2nd overall, 1st on bars, 2nd on beam, 5th on vault

Juliana LeBlanc – 6th overall, 4th on bars, 6th on vault, beam and floor

Imogen Quinn – 5th overall, 1st on vault and beam, 5th on floor
