Blues keep playoff hopes alive
SPRINGHILL – A last minute goal by Patrick Byrne, along with great goaltending from Pierrick Heudes, helped keep the Cumberland County Blues season alive Friday night in Springhill.

AMHERST – Amherst Adult Hockey continued last week with Bluewave Energy beating Maltby Sports 8-4.
Ryan Smith padded his AAHL point lead with five points for Bluewave, three goals and two assists.
Craig Sloan added two goals and one assist, Brad Linkletter two goals, and Jared Fraser one goal and one assist.
Tim Burke, Scott Dicks, Danny Small and Ken Terris added two assists each for Bluewave, and Tom Burge had one assist.
Kurtis Langille scored one goal and one assist for Maltby, while Ian McCarthy, Geoff Ryan and Chris Sproul added one goal each.
Jon Tattrie added two assists and Blake Fowler one assist.
Remi Thomas got the win in net, and Scott Clark the loss.
Bluewave continues their dominance of the AAHL standings with 44 points, J&K Electric is second with 30 points, Maltby third with 12 points, and Colson Overhead Doors is fourth with 10 points.

Ryan Smith is the AAHL point leader with 76 points, 43 goals and 33 assists, Jesse Colborne is second with 60 points, 45 goals and 15 assists, Jon Tattrie is third with 59 points, 33 goals and 26 assists, Danny Small is fourth with 50 points, 18 goals and 32 assists, and Chris Sproul is fifth with 47 points, 17 goals and 30 assists.
