Three Amherst Men's Slopitch Teams Win NSA Maritimes

The Cumberland Reds, BroJayz and Bunch of Guys won their respective divisions this weekend in Moncton at NSA Maritimes. These teams will be competing again September 7 and 8 in Moncton at SPN Maritimes.

Reds, BroJayz and Bunch of Guys Win in Divisions C, D and E

MONCTON-Three Amherst-based men's slopitch softball teams were triumphant this past weekend in Moncton during the NSA Canada Maritime Men's Slopitch Maritime Championships, qualifying them for the 2014 NSA World Series/Nationals taking place next July in Hamilton, Ontario.

The Cumberland Reds, the 2013 Amherst Men's Slopitch League Division I Champions, captured the NSA Maritimes' C Divison crown by defeating a team from the Fredericton/Ormocto area.

Similarly, the BroJayz won the NSA Maritimes in the D Division while Bunch of Guys won the E Division of NSA Maritimes.

If successful next year at the 2014 NSA World Series/Nationals, teams would there you qualify for the North American NSA championships.

"When I went it was in Phoenix, AZ and the organization of that tourney was above and beyond anything I have ever played in," stated Ronnie Ross.

Up next for each of these championship teams is Slopitch National (SPN) Maritimes September 7 and 8 in Moncton, New Brunswick.
