AMHERST – The Baseball Nova Scotia Midget AA provincial championship tournament is underway at the Robb Centennial Complex.

The Amherst Athletics won their opening by forfeit when the Halifax Braves could not field enough players for the 10 a.m. game.

Humber Park played Sheburne at 12:30 p.m. and Yarmouth and the Dartmouth Arrows were on the field at 3 p.m.

The final game of the day has Humber Park facing Yarmouth at 5:30 p.m.

Action resumes Saturday morning with Amherst meeting Shelburne at 9 a.m. while Dartmouth faces Halifax at 11:30 a.m. and Amherst meets Yarmouth at 2 p.m.

Humber Park faces Halifax at 4:30 p.m.

Games continue Sunday with the the final round robin game, two semifinals and the championship at 4:30 p.m.
