JV Vikettes go 0-3 in Annapolis Valley

AUBURN – The Amherst Regional High School JV Vikettes lost all three of their games at a tournament at West Kings District High School in Auburn over the weekend.

“All the games were very close,” said Charlie Chambers, JV Vikettes coach. “Our kids battled and competed hard each contest and I am proud of their combined work ethic.”

The Vikettes lost their first game 51-49 to the Horton High School Griffins.

Risha McKenney scored 15 points, Rachel Chevarie scored nine, Miah Tooley and Andrea Comeau scored eight each, Jessica Wilson scored four and Makayla Embree scored three.

They lost their second game 52-45 to the Millwood High School Knights.

Embree scored 12 points, Chevarie scored 11, Comeau eight, Tooley seven, Wilson six, and Steph MacDonald and Emma Taylor scored two points each.

The Vikettes final loss was 62-61 to the West Kings Wolverines.

Comeau scored 13 points, McKenney had 11, Renee Allen scored nine, Taylor eight, Chevarie six, Wilson four, Embree three, and Tooley scored two points.
