TORONTO - A design from Canadian label Smythe is getting a repeat wear from Kate as she dons the same blazer she was first seen in when she embarked on the royal tour.
Kate was spotted today wearing the navy blazer from the Toronto-based label of Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe. She wore the One-Button blazer atop a ruffle-front blouse and slim-fitting belted jeans accessorized with slingback espadrilles.
It was a more laid-back look than last week, when she paired the jacket with a Roland Mouret dress in a matching hue before she and Prince William kicked off their nine-day visit.
Shortly after she was spotted in the Smythe design last week, Barbara Atkin, vice-president of fashion direction at Holt Renfrew, said the phone began ringing off the hook at the luxury retailer, which sells the blazer exclusively in Canada for $550.
At the time, Atkin said they started out with just over 60 in stores and were anticipating a sellout. A Holt Renfrew spokesperson said by email late Tuesday that they still had a few blazers available across the country.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived today in the northern Alberta town of Slave Lake to meet with residents of the fire-ravaged community.
Calgary will be the final stop on their Canadian tour before they fly to California on Friday.
