Ralph B. Brayley PARRSBORO - Ralph B. Brayley, 83, of Parrsboro, Cumberland County passed away Friday, March 2, 2007 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late William H. and Vida (Willigar) Brayley. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. He was employed with Ferry Aviation and later the Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forests. He was an avid hunter, trapper and wildlife artist. He is survived by a son, Eric (Janette), Parrsboro; a sister, Doreen Ripley (Jack), Amherst; grandsons, Jason (Crystal), Yellowknife; Chris, Parrsboro. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; infant sons, Ralph and Lloyd; sisters, Phyllis and Mona; a brother, Lester. Visitation took place at Smiths Funeral Home, Parrsboro where funeral service were held on March 5 with Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Burial in the Parrsboro Baptist Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences at . Rodney William Spicer Vancouver Rodney William Spicer, 66, of Vancouver, British Columbia died Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Born in Diligent River, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Kempton Spicer and Alice (Bowden) Spicer. Besides his parents, Rodney was predeceased by three brothers. Theodore, Duncan and Roger Spicer and three sisters Vera Lamb, Bessie Exelby and Josephine Crossman. Rodney is survived by sisters Christina (Mrs. James Wood) of Ontario and Elaine (Mrs. Charles Carr) of Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. Fondly remembered by niece Judy, many other nephews and nieces, and not to be forgotten by close friends from the Lamb family. Cremation has taken place in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Remains will be sent to Ontario. Burial arrangements in Diligent River, Nova Scotia to be announced at a later date.
