Sarah Burbine

It is with great sadness that the family of Sarah Burbine, 64, of Amherst, NS, announce her passing on January 28th, 2018, surrounded by her family. Born in Joggins, NS, she was the daughter of the late George Hector Vance and Aliece Phinney. Besides her parents, Sarah was predeceased by brother Billy Phinney and nephew James Kaiser. Sarah will be lovingly remembered by sons Jeff of Halifax, and Randy (Jennifer) of Amherst, grandson Zachary, step granddaughter Emily, partner Dean Melanson, sisters Lois Kaiser (Jimmy) and Sheila Cormier both of Amherst, and nephew Philip Burbine. A great lover of life, Sarah could often be found RVing at Hidden Hilltop in the summer, out on her motorcycle, or at home enjoying a book. A funeral service celebrating Sarah’s life will take place at Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst, NS, (902-667-9906) on Friday, February, 2nd, at 2 pm, with Rev. Don Miller officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the River Hebert Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Society or the L.A Animal Shelter.
