Bernal Roscoe Acker

Bernal Roscoe Acker age 92 of Fort Lawrence, passed away on Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born on May 27th, 1925 in Nictaux Falls, Lunenburg Co, he was the son of the late Eldon and Ellen “Nellie” (Wynn) Acker. Bernal will be missed by his daughters, Donalda (Teddy) Gaudet, Nappan, Roxinne (George) McCallum, New Glasgow and Lynnette (Kevin) Nickerson, Pinehurst, NS; son, Christopher (Debora) Acker, Mahone Bay, NS; sister, Barbara (Edward) Fagan, London ON; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, Dad was predeceased his wife, Jean Marie (nee Gale); sisters, Greta (late Arnold) Harvey and LuLu (late Donald) MacLean; niece, Kathy and nephews, Charles and Darren. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 am from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Craig Christenson officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will take place in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst (667-9906). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dad’s memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.
