AMHERST – Amherst’s East Pleasant Street infrastructure renewal project requires the replacement of water main valves. As a result, it is necessary for the town to turn off the water main on East Pleasant Street while the work is carried out between 11 p.m. on Wednesday and 3 a.m. on Thursday.
The outage is only temporary and is necessary to improve municipal services and facilities in the area. Every measure will be taken to complete this work as quickly as possible.
Once the service resumes, run the cold water in your bathtub for about 15 minutes in order to eliminate impurities.
