Springhill – Schools across Canada are doing their part this week to reduce plastics from the environment and Springhill’s two elementary schools want you to help bag this problem.

Junction Road Elementary and West End Memorial are calling on the public to bring their unwanted plastic bags to either school this week as part of the Earth Week initiative.
Students learned some plastic bags take between 400 and 1,000 years to completely decompose and built their initiative around this information.

The schools are using the #PlasticBagGrab hashtag on their posts and hope more will do the same. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=476220979447334&id=220237178379050.
