WINDSOR, N.S. – Several RCMP officers were seen entering the Tasty Budd’s location on Gerrish Street on Aug. 24 around 11:30 a.m. in what appeared to be a raid.

The store was closed as employees left the premises including store manager Jake Canavan.

When asked for comment Canavan said he couldn’t comment on the situation other than the officers showed up without warning but were very polite and professional.

Another employee leaving the premises said it was a raid.

Tasty Budd’s offers marijuana products to customers who have a prescription.

It’s not known at this time if any charges have been laid.

Cpl. Jennifer Clarke, media relations officer with the RCMP said the closure is related to an ongoing investigation.

Police previously shut down a marijuana dispensary in Halifax for distributing marijuana to non-medical customers in late 2016.
