The first Annapolis District RCMP heard of it was when the man called them at 2:46 p.m. and said there was a suspicious man looking in his window.
When he asked the man what he was doing there the apparent trespasser replied: “You’ll know in about 20 minutes.”
Police went to the small community, a former navy base, found the residence, and met with not only the caller, but the landlord who had also arrived at the scene.
Things got a lot worse for the guy who called police.
It turns out the landlord was there to evict him and was just waiting for the sheriff to arrive with the eviction papers.
Twenty minutes was up.
The person he saw in the window? The locksmith.
