Gallagher fined $1,500
for impaired driving
Jeffrey Wade Gallagher, 37, of RR5 Amherst, Fox Ranch Road, was fined $1,500 or 16 days in jail after pleading guilty to impaired driving. Gallagher is also prohibited from driving for one year and is eligible for the interlock device after three months.
The incident occurred Oct. 25 in Amherst.

Illegal cigs nets Murray $600 fine
Michael L. Murray, 40, of 64 Hickman St., Amherst, was fined $599.12 or eight days in jail after pleading guilty to possessing tobacco no bearing the prescribed mark in accordance with the Revenue Act.
The incident occurred Sept. 20 in Amherst.

Gouchie pleads guilty,
awaits sentencing
Dawn Marion Gouchie, 42, of 26 Wellington St., Amherst, was ordered to return for sentencing on Jan. 26 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading guilty to stealing lottery scratch tickets from D&J's Convenience of a value not exceeding $5,000 and two counts of defrauding D&J's Convenience of a sum of money not exceeding $5,000 by deceit, falsehood or other fraudulent means.
A pre-sentence report was requested.
The incidents occurred between Feb. 21 and March 6 and between Feb. 29 and March 6, 2008, in Amherst.

Arseneau to be sentenced for
failing to comply with court order
Justin John Arseneau, 24, of 934 Brookdale Rd, Brookdale, was ordered to return for sentencing on Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading guilty to two counts of failing to comply with a probation order including reporting to probation services and failing to attend, participate in assessment, counselling and treatment as ordered by the court.
A pre-sentence report was requested.
The incidents occurred between May 6 and Aug. 7 and between Aug. 5 and Sept. 17, 2008, in Amherst.

Belliveau guilty of
obstructing police
John Edward Belliveau, 51, of 6 Prince Arthur St., Amherst, was ordered to return for sentencing on Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading guilty to obstructing Jeff Davidson, a peace officer with the RCMP, by providing false name and date of birth to avoid detection of his true identity and fraudulently personating Alan Walter Dickeson to avoid detection of his true identify.
A pre-sentence report was requested.
The incidents occurred June 13 in Diligent River.

McGrath to be sentenced Jan. 26
Reginald Wayne McGrath, 38, of Truemanville was ordered to return for sentencing on Jan. 26 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified.
