PARRSBORO – Don't sweat the small stuff, you’ll figure it out in the end.
Those wise words came from Emma Trottier, the valedictorian and Governor General Medal winner with the Parrsboro Regional High School Class of 2018, during graduation ceremonies on June 28.
“Don't sweat the small stuff, you’ll figure it out in the end. Be passionate about whatever you do and remember who and what has gotten you there: 13 years of studying, or not studying, sports, student council, clubs, friendship and making memories,” said Trottier.
Trottier said her biggest thank you goes to her fellow students for making the year memorable.
“School has been crazy, but I can’t imagine having gone through it with any other crazy group of people. Grads of 2018, I hope life holds all you want and more. Congratulations because we’ve finally made it.”
Looking back at what she has learned, Trottier told students not to procrastinate about their goals and remember everything they achieve is one more step closer to being where they want to be. She also urged them to strive to be the best version of themselves.
“Try not to hold yourself back, or let others hold you back. You know what is best for your path in life,” she said.
