OXFORD – Oxford is holding a special election on Nov. 25 to fill a council vacancy.
Coun. Greg Wood recently resigned from town council for personal reasons and work commitments.
The nominating deadline is Oct. 31.
Wood was first elected to council last October.
It’s the second special election in a year for Oxford.
The town was short one councilor following last fall’s regular municipal election when five candidates were elected by acclamation.
A special election was held in early December with Brenton Colborne, the former director of Public Works, being elected over three other candidates.
