AMHERST – Three Amherst men are facing drug charges following a search of two residences by the Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit on Dec. 7 and 8.
Two men were arrested on Brownell Avenue on Dec. 7 at approximately 7 p.m. while a third man was arrested at approximately 4 a.m. Dec. 8 at a Westminster Avenue home.
A 20-year-old Amherst man is facing charges of possession of cannabis resin, trafficking cocaine, conspiracy to traffic cocaine and marijuana and possession of cocaine, MDMA, marijuana and oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.
An 18-year-old is charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine and marijuana and a 29-year-old man is charged with possession of LSD and marijuana, trafficking cocaine, conspiracy to traffic cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
All three will appear in provincial court in Amherst on Feb. 12.
The investigation is ongoing.
The street crime unit is made up of members of the Amherst Police Department and Cumberland RCMP.
