AMHERST – Three people are facing drug charges following a search of an Amherst home on Feb. 7.

The search of a South Albion Street home by the Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Cumberland RCMP and Amherst Police found a quantity of methamphetamine, oxycodone, cocaine and marijuana.

A 31-year-old woman is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, a 54-year-old woman is facing a charge of possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking and a 58-year-old man is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

All three will appear in court in Amherst on March 19 for election and plea.

The investigation is continuing.
