Three adults are facing charges after police searched a home in Springhill.
The Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Springhill RCMP, executed a search warrant at a Horton Avenue home in Springhill on March 16. During the search, police seized a quantity of cocaine, cannabis marihuana, cash and other items indicative of drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Steven Matthew Wilson, Springhill, was remanded into custody after being charged with the following offences:
• Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of items to facilitate drug trafficking
• Three counts of breaching bail conditions
• Breach of probation
Wilson was scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court March 19 to answer the charges.
Following the search, a 28-year-old female from Springhill is facing a charge of failing to comply with an undertaking. She was released and scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on April 23.
No information was given concerning the third adult.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending against other occupants of the home at the time of the search.
