RCMP invetigating fatal accident outside Springhill

The connector highway between Springhill and Highway 104 is closed this morning, Nov. 15, while RCMP are on the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident.

At 1:30 a.m. this morning, Springhill RCMP were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision on 142 Highway, just outside Springhill.

Early investigation shows that a pickup truck lost control and drove off the highway and ended up at the bottom of the ditch where it struck trees.

EHS attended and pronounced the lone male occupant deceased at the scene.
