PUGWASH RIVER – RCMP are seeking a man who allegedly assaulted another man outside a cottage on the Pugwash River Road on Sunday.

At 4:56 p.m. on April 29, a man arrived at the cottage and was met outside by one of the occupants of the cottage. A verbal confrontation ensued, which turned into a physical confrontation.

The man produced a stun-gun like weapon and held it to the victim's neck, causing him to fall to the ground. The victim got up and chased the suspect, who fled the area in a darker-coloured Dodge Ram pickup truck with a white cap.

The victim suffered minor injuries, and no one else was hurt. There were two other people in the cottage at the time.

The initial investigation has determined that this was not a random act. The suspect is described as a white male with short dark brown hair, in his mid-30s, approximately six feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a large dark-coloured sweater.

Also, during the early morning hours of April 29, a tractor trailer was stolen from its parking spot near a local business in Wallace Station.

Investigators determined the suspect had taken the truck for a drive, caused considerable damage to the trailer, and returned them to their parking spot.

Pugwash RCMP is asking anyone who has any information about these incidens to contact the Pugwash RCMP at 902-243-2181. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit by secure online tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca.

The investigation into both matters is ongoing.
