More ER closures coming at three Cumberland County CECs

AMHERST – There are more ER closures in the next several days at Cumberland County’s three collaborative emergency centres.

The South Cumberland CEC’s ER will be closed during the day time hours from Sunday through Wednesday and again on Saturday, April 28.

In Pugwash, the ER at the North Cumberland Memorial CEC will be closed during the daytime hours on Monday to Wednesday and again on Friday, April 27.

Finally, in Springhill, the ER will be closed at the All Saints CEC on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and again on Saturday, April 28.

These closures are because there is no physician to provide medical coverage.

Overnight coverage by the registered nurse/paramedic/oversight physician team is not impacted at any of the hospitals.

Anyone experiencing an emergency should always call 911. General health questions can be answered by calling 811.

The mental health crisis line operates 24/7 at 1-888-429-8167.
