A Springhill man and woman from Aulac were scheduled to appear in court after being arrested with methamphetamine in Amherst.

Cumberland County Integrated Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Cumberland District RCMP and Amherst Police Department, arrested the two on March 2, during a traffic stop on Laplanche Street in Amherst. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine tablets, cocaine packaged for resale, cash and other items indicative of drug trafficking.

Steven Matthew Wilson, 33, of Springhill, was remanded in to custody after being charged with:

· Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking

· Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking

· Breach of Probation

Wilson was scheduled to attend Amherst Provincial Court on March 5, 2018, and Moncton Provincial Court on June 19, 2018, to answer to his charges.

RCMP did not identify the 28-year-old woman, who was released from custody. She is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court on April 23, 2018 for the following charges:

· Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking

· Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
